What is FTP?

The File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a standard communication protocol used for the transfer of computer files from a server to a client on a computer network.

Is useful to manage your media library manually.

🔐 Find Your FTP Login

Before using FTP, you will need to find your FTP login:

  1. Log in to your control panel

  2. Select Services

  3. Click the Overview button next to your service

  4. Select Media from the left side menu

  5. Click the Upload Icon in the top right corner

  6. Select UPLOAD MEDIA TRACKS VIA FTP

You will now see:

  • The server IP address

  • The FTP port

  • Your username and password

🔄 Connect to FTP & Upload Media

You can then use the FTP access details you found above to connect.

In this guide, we’ll use FileZilla as an example since it’s a popular, cross-platform FTP client, but you can use any client — even the terminal.

🧭 Steps:

  1. Download, install, and launch FileZilla

  2. Input the provided:

    • Server Hostname (IP)

    • Username

    • Password

    • Port

  3. Click Connect

  4. You may need to accept the certificate on first connection

Once connected, you can:

  • Drag and drop files to and from your service’s media library

  • Delete or organize your media as needed
